Reach Out

Mario Vega,

“Jesus left his church on earth to share the good news of the gospel. The church’s responsibility is to be light and salt in a world without hope. The church should not live for herself but for the mission entrusted to her. It is not here to be served but to serve.

“In all the activities that the church performs, it must ask itself if it is fulfilling the mission that God has entrusted to her, or if it has become encumbered with other things.

“Is our worship designed to be more relevant to the Christian marketplace or are we  touching unbelievers? Are our sermons designed to make us look scholarly and wise or are they designed to reach the lost? Are our home meetings more about social engagement to make us feel comfortable or are they welcoming the lost with open arms? How do we focus our efforts and energy? May God help us to achieve his redemptive purpose!”
